CHARGES FOR BOTOX FOR MIGRAINES
Migraine Treatment with Botox and consultation |
£465 |
This price is for the Forehead Treatment area. This treatment will usually be all most sufferers will need since it injects the frown muscles that the standard PREEMPT Potocol, which has been recommended by NICE and has not changed in 10 years, misses out. This keeps the cost down by avoiding unnecessary injections, and generally works as well as, or better than PREEMPT.
A minority of sufferers may find they need the neck area treated as well as the forehead area. You can have just the forehead treatment first and have the neck treatment later if needed. The choices will be discussed during the consultation before the treatment is given. If you need, or prefer to have the extended treatment (we call it PREEMPT+) then the cost for this is £795
A Treatment Plan will be discussed at the consultation along with the costs, and you are not obliged to have a treatment until you have considered things further, if you need. The only cost will be the consultation charge.
CHARGES FOR ERENUMAB (Aimovig) FOR MIGRAINES
Migraine Consultation and Issue of Prescription |
£245 |
Erenumab (Aimovig) is the new monoclonal antibody injection that you self-administer once a month. Erenumab is expensive (almost £5000 a year for the injections alone) so we would generally recommend treatment with Botox first. In our experience and using our protocols for injecting the Botox, we find that it can adequately control you migraines in 90% of cases. If you have other types of headache , such as true cluster headaches, then Botox may not give adequate relief, in which Erenumab may be indicated.
The Erenumab is issued from the Pharmacy that works with Novartis (the manufacturer) and you pay them directly for the injections that will be delivered directly to you. Repeat prescriptions can be organised through a telephone consultation
A Treatment Plan will be discussed at the consultation along with the costs, and you are not obliged to have a treatment until you have considered things further, if you need. The only cost will be the consultation charge.
CHARGES FOR DAITH PIERCING FOR MIGRAINES
First Daith Piercing consultation with our piercer, including fitting with titanium jewellery (details at migraine-piercing.co.uk) |
£145 |
A Treatment Plan will be discussed at your fitting consultation, and you are not obliged to have a treatment at that appointment if you would like to considered things further before having a treatment. The only cost if you do not have a piercing on the day will be the consultation charge of £50
Generally we do not advise having two piercings on the same day because it is better to let the piercing heal before giving a second piercing. Occasionally there may be reasons to have a second piercing at the initial consultation. The second piercing on the same day will be charged at the reduced rate of an additional £55
If you have already had a first piercing from us and you then have a second piercing at a different appointment this will be charged at the reduced price of £95
Gold and other precious metal jewellery is also available at special prices
CHARGES FOR BOTOX FOR BRUXISM
Bruxism Treatment and 50 minute consultation | £395 |
Bruxism is a complicated illness and treatment requires a detailed and extended assessment to give time for the best advice on other treatments that you will benefit from. It is not just about relaxing the muscles!
A Treatment Plan will be discussed at the consultation, and you are not obliged to have a treatment until you have considered things further, if you need. The only cost will be the consultation charge, as detailed above.
OTHER BOTOX TREATMENTS
Botox can also be used for Anti-ageing Wrinkle Reduction Treatments, Jawline Reduction Treatment, and Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis). The consultation will include a consultation to assess your medical needs
Anti-Ageing Wrinkle Reduction Treatments
One Area to the face | £185
Two Areas to the face | £255
All 3 areas to the face | £325 |
The prices quoted are the standard prices. However some people, usually men, have a noticeably higher muscle mass around the face that will require a higher dose. If this is the case and a higher dose is required then there will be an extra charge dependent on the increased dose but this will generally be no more than £50. We will always discuss this with you before proceeding with the treatment.
Hyperhidrosis – Armpits* |
£495 | ||
Non-surgical Jawline Reduction | £345
*Price for Hyperhidrosis treatments may vary depending on the areas needing treatment, if they are larger than normal. We will always discuss this with you before commencing treatment.
Deposits and Charges for Cancelling/Postponing Appointments
We take a £50 deposit when making appointments. To cancel an appointment we need 3 full clinic working days.
We understand that sometimes it is necessary to postpone an appointment, and we need 2 full clinic working days notice to transfer the full deposit to another appointment on the first occasion – discretionary on repeat occasions. However if you contact us by midday the clinic working day before the appointment then the charge can be reduced to £25 and the other £25 can be offset against the £50 deposit for your new appointment.
However, we will do our best to offer a replacement appointment on the same day, and if this is possible then there will be no charge for postponing the appointment to later in the day
If you don’t arrive for your appointment, or cancel/postpone on the day, we will have to make a charge of £50 to contribute towards costs.
